Well Water Treatment

Groundwater is one of the world’s most important natural resources and is an important source of drinking water for mostly-rural populations that supply their own domestic water from local wells.

Globally, over 2.4 billion people access water through public taps, wells, boreholes and additional 663 million people rely on unimproved sources, including 159 million dependent on surface water. At least 1.8 billion people use a drinking-water source contaminated with faeces (source: WHO Drinking Water Report).

Recent study by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) found that about 23 percent of the private wells in the USA (supplying almost 10 million people) did have at least one contaminant at a level of potential health concern.
